Pattern and template reference

Every section of the demo is a pattern you can insert. In the inserter they are under Patterns → Sections (one section) and Patterns → Full pages (a whole page to start from). The names below are the names the inserter shows.

Inserted on a site without the demo's photographs, a pattern shows the theme's stand-in plates; replace each with your own picture. Inserted while Lumina Edu Core is active, a section that states records reads yours. See With the plugin on, and with it off.

Programs, Instructors and Resources are built by their templates around a few sections (Program directory, The planner with pictures and Next starts on Programs; the instructor directory and Talk to the tutor first on Instructors). The three homes and the pages describes every page.

Not in the inserter

With the plugin on, and with it off

A theme-only site must look close to the demo, and Lumina Edu does, by design. Every section that states a record is written as the plugin's block around a still example. With Lumina Edu Core active the block prints your records and the example is not shown. With it inactive, WordPress prints the still example saved inside the block.

A still example names days and hours (Tue · 18:30–20:00, "Tuesdays", "Mon–Thu"), never a date: it cannot know the day it is read on, so it never claims one. Headings, ledes, photographs and actions are the same words on both sides.

The Studio home's board with Lumina Edu Core switched off: the same band on the match tint with three still rows of the example school, each under its weekday and hours, with no date.

Pages that exist only because of a record — a program's, an instructor's, a department's or a campus's own page — are gone while the plugin is off; see Deactivating and exporting. The demo's Programs page keeps the whole Northline catalogue as its still version, so it reads as a timetable even then.
