Accessibility, translation and RTL

Lumina Edu supplies visible focus, keyboard-operable controls, semantic headings, reduced-motion rules, text status labels and measured theme colour pairs. That does not make every completed site conformant: your content, plugins, external destinations and custom colours remain part of the result.

Content checks before launch

• Give informative images concise alternative text; leave purely decorative images empty.
• Keep headings in a meaningful order and write descriptive links.
• Do not communicate open, closed, past or error using colour alone.
• Test navigation, filters, comparison, accordions and external actions using only a keyboard.
• Zoom to 200%, test at 320 CSS pixels and confirm no information is clipped.
• Respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid autoplay media.
• Recheck contrast after changing any global colour.

The Matchboard has a server-rendered form and crawlable GET URL. JavaScript enhancement keeps the old results while updating and provides an Apply filters fallback after an error. Comparison is limited to three programmes and does not require a cookie or local storage.

Translation

The theme and plugin include translation templates. Use a standard WordPress translation workflow; do not edit distributed POT files as a substitute for a locale translation. Dates use WordPress locale formatting and the site's timezone. Translate authored programme content separately.

Right-to-left languages

Layouts use logical directions and support RTL. Still review every page, long title, filter control, comparison table and external icon in the target language. Translation length can expose issues that an English fixture does not.
