Instructors, subjects and delivery terms
Instructor profiles
Open Instructors → Add New. Add the person's name, role, biography, credentials, languages, teaching note and subjects. The directory and instructor page place a stored portrait inside the tile's ink frame when one exists, with the subject's first two letters — or the person's initials when subjects repeat — outlined over it. Without a portrait, the same monogram stays solid over the authored empty-slot plate. The programme instructor seam remains monogram-led and does not draw a portrait, so no programme decision depends on photography.
Credentials are plain authored statements. Verify them before publishing. The teaching note is not live availability and should not imply real-time scheduling.
Assign an instructor from the programme editor. The programme remains valid if no instructor is set or an old profile is deleted; no name or heading is invented.
Controlled taxonomies
- Subjects organise the main topic and connect programmes to instructors.
- Levels are learner-facing descriptions such as Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
- Formats describe delivery: In person, Live online, Hybrid or Self-paced.
- Locations identify a campus/room or Online. The theme does not include a map service.
- Schedule bands support broad browsing; exact times belong in programme/session fields.
Keep terms short, distinct and useful for decisions. Avoid near-duplicates such as “Online” and “Virtual” unless your business genuinely distinguishes them. Deleting a term changes filters, so review affected programmes first.
Add reusable locations under Programs → Locations before assigning them to programmes. Put a stable visitor-facing name in the term, such as a campus or Online. Put a one-off room, access or joining instruction in the dated Session's Location note instead. This keeps Matchboard filters stable when the room for one intake changes.
