What the theme does

Dated menu slips that expire themselves

A dated slip carries a kind, a target and a date window: it strikes the row it replaces, hides that row's photograph, and takes itself down when the window closes.

Opens on what you are serving right now

Five services, each with its days, its hours and its last order — derived from the services and still right on a cached page, never typed into a sentence somebody has to remember.

A menu that survives fifty-two dishes

Ten sections, twelve photographed rows and forty type-only ones, with a dietary filter that hides a row in place instead of pulling it out of the page — so the count under the filter always says what you are looking at.

Hours, access and directions a visitor can act on

The week as one record with today marked, a copyable address, coordinates, a geo: handoff and a routed link. No map embed, no third-party script, and so no cookie banner.

Edited on a phone before service, by a person or an assistant

Every record has its own screen — Dish details, the service, the hours row, the booking row, with Quick Edit from the list — Site details is one sectioned page with an image picker, and a Getting started screen walks a new site through the demo. The data lives in the companion plugin, updates through WordPress's own Updates screen, and nineteen WordPress Abilities expose the jobs you repeat.

Every screen, with what it proves

The home page opens on the service that is on right now, with its last order and one filled action.

Before you install

Which file do I upload to WordPress?

table-and-type.zip, the small one inside your download. The big table-and-type-package-1.0.0.zip is the whole purchase: theme, child theme, plugin, documentation and licensing. WordPress refuses that one with "the theme is missing the style.css stylesheet". Unpack it first, then upload the small zip under Appearance, Themes, Add New, Upload Theme.

Do I have to install the companion plugin?

Only if you want the content. Dishes, services, hours, slips and booking rows live in table-and-type-core.zip rather than in the theme, so your data survives a theme change. Appearance, Install plugins offers it and WordPress downloads it from tailthemes.com; you can also upload the identical file from your download by hand. Nothing is force-activated: with the plugin off, every page still renders.

Does it need a page builder?

No, and none is claimed. It is a block theme edited in the Site Editor with core blocks and patterns, on WordPress 7.1 or newer. Elementor is not supported and WooCommerce is not claimed.
