tailthemes
all-access

These terms govern your use of tailthemes.com and any purchase you make here. The short version: buy a theme, get a license, build whatever you want with it. The details below exist for the cases where something goes wrong.

Questions about any of this: support@tailthemes.com.

Who runs this

tailthemes.com is operated by WISE IT LLC (“we”). You can reach us at support@tailthemes.com. By using the site or buying a theme you agree to these terms.

The service

tailthemes.com sells licenses to website themes: runnable Next.js projects with a token-based design system and an agent kit (AGENTS.md plus executable skills) in every download. Some themes are free; the free tier needs no account and no key.

Themes are generated by AI under a published quality gate and verified before they ship. What each gate checks is described on /for-agents and in each theme's documentation.

Purchases and payment

Checkout runs through Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment, issues your receipt, and handles sales tax and VAT. Your card details go to Polar, never to us. Polar's own terms apply to the payment transaction.

Prices are shown at checkout in USD. A purchase delivers a license key and a download for the exact theme version named on the order; versions are immutable, so what you bought stays retrievable as you bought it.

Your license

What you may and may not do with a theme is defined on /licenses, which is part of these terms. The one-paragraph version: unlimited projects including client work, modify anything, no reselling or republishing a theme as a theme, and no using themes to train models that generate themes.

Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. If a theme is not what you expected, write to support@tailthemes.com within 14 days of purchase and we refund in full. The refund is issued through Polar and the license is revoked automatically when it lands.

After 14 days we look at the order and use judgment: if we broke something, or a theme was not what its listing said, we refund regardless of the date. Details on /support.

Accounts

Browsing, previewing and free downloads need no account. Where sign-in exists (comments, the license list on /account), you are responsible for what happens under your session, and we may remove content that is abusive, unlawful or spam. Accounts are handled by Clerk; see the privacy policy for what that involves.

Acceptable use

The public APIs — the registry, the MCP server, llms.txt — exist to be used, by people and by their agents. What is not allowed:

  • circumventing license gating to reach paid theme source,
  • scraping the catalog to republish it or resell its contents,
  • load patterns intended to degrade the service for others,
  • sharing license keys beyond the buyer they name.

We may rate-limit or block traffic that does any of this, and license violations end the license as described on /licenses.

Intellectual property

Themes, their source and this site remain our property; a purchase grants the license, not ownership of the theme. What you build with a theme is yours — sites you ship, for yourself or a client, belong to you or the client, in line with the license.

Disclaimers and liability

Themes and the site are provided as-is. We verify every theme against the published quality gate before it ships, but we do not warrant that a theme fits your specific purpose or runs in every environment, and we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of a theme or the site.

Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top is the version you are reading. Changes apply from posting and never retroactively narrow a license you already bought — the terms in force at purchase govern that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of WISE IT LLC's place of registration. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking to us first — please try that, it usually works — it belongs to the courts of that jurisdiction.
